The Harish and Bina Shah Foundation (HBSF), has recently undertaken a concerted effort in grant-making, by entering into a strategic 3-year partnership with Sattva, and 10 non-profit partners. This grant, guided by HBSF's giving philosophy, utilises an approach that provides flexible, accountable, and goal-oriented support with the intention of impacting lives purposefully and patiently. HBSF envisions these partnerships as catalysts for empowering and fortifying the Indian non-profit ecosystem.
The cohort is a diverse group covering well-established sectors like Education, Livelihood, and Health, under-funded area such as Legal Aid & Entitlement, as well as addressing emerging global priorities such as Air Quality and Waste Management.
The reach of the non-profit partners will span across India, directly impacting 12 states & union territories and indirectly improving the quality of lives throughout the country. Additionally, the group is also serving a diverse range of populations, including women, youth, children, and tribal communities, among others.
